Prefilled pods

Prefilled pods contain liquid and an atomiser. They are usually packed in pairs. Nicotine-containing pods hold at most 2 ml in the EU. Some systems work with larger liquid pods that serve as reservoirs and supply a separate tank in the device. How a system is built is stated in the manufacturer information.

Refillable pods

Refillable pods are supplied empty, often in packs of three. They are filled from the top (top fill) or from the side (side fill). The resistance of the atomiser in ohms (Ω) determines for which liquids and power levels the manufacturer intends the pod.

Disposal

Pods with a built-in atomiser contain metal and liquid residues. Unless the manufacturer states otherwise, they do not belong in household waste. Devices with a battery are to be returned as waste electrical equipment.
